Each week Investors Intelligence calculates the percent of stocks on the NYSE above their 10 week and 30 week moving averages. Volume 3 contains twelve two-panel charts showing six snapshots of five years each of the diffusion indexes. The top panel of each chart shows the daily NYSE Composite.

These are all two panel landscape
charts. The top line shows the daily NYSE Composite Average on a logarithmic price scale. The bottom line shows the Percent of NYSE Issues above their 30 week Moving Average. This diffusion index indicates longer term momentum swings, while the 10 week version (charts a-f) is more useful for shorter term swings. This is a 3kb thumbnail! The real charts look much better than these thumbnails. |
